Lip Lines/Wrinkles
What Are Lip Lines & Wrinkles?
Lip wrinkles start as subtle lines that appear when you purse your lips. Over time, these lines can deepen and become noticeable even when your lips are at rest, causing lipstick to “bleed” from the lip edge.
What Causes Lip Lines & Wrinkles?
Typically, women are more susceptible to lip wrinkles than men because their dermis (the skin’s supportive layer), is generally thinner and more prone to wrinkling, particularly after menopause.
Ageing also brings volume loss throughout the face, affecting everything from the skin’s surface to the bones. Skin loses its elasticity and youthful glow as collagen and elastin production in the dermis slow over time.
At Cosmetic & Veins Clinic, we have a variety of treatments to address upper lip lines, and we customise our approach to suit your individual needs. We might recommend a single treatment or combine several to achieve optimal results.
Treatments we offer include:
- Dermal Fillers for Lip Lines
- Laser Skin Resurfacing

Dermal Fillers for Lip Lines
We use hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers to help reverse volume loss around lip areas. These fillers can be injected into fine lines and surrounding areas such as the lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines, providing essential support, volume and hydration.
While lip fillers generally soften rather than eliminate upper lip lines, they yield natural-looking results.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
This advanced laser treatment resurfaces the skin, triggering a healing response that stimulates collagen production. The result is smoother, more radiant skin.
To determine the best mix of treatments for your concerns and aspirations book a consultation with one of our experienced cosmetic nurses at Cosmetic & Veins Clinic.
