Lip wrinkles start as subtle lines that appear when you purse your lips. Over time, these lines can deepen and become noticeable even when your lips are at rest, causing lipstick to “bleed” from the lip edge.

What Causes Lip Lines & Wrinkles?

Typically, women are more susceptible to lip wrinkles than men because their dermis (the skin’s supportive layer), is generally thinner and more prone to wrinkling, particularly after menopause.

Ageing also brings volume loss throughout the face, affecting everything from the skin’s surface to the bones. Skin loses its elasticity and youthful glow as collagen and elastin production in the dermis slow over time.

Dermal Fillers for Lip Lines
