Plasma Lifting

Non-invasive skin-lifting skin-tightening face-rejuvenation collagen-inducing goodness.

As we age, our skin produces less collagen, and the dermal layer thins and loses elasticity. Together these factors lead to sagging and wrinkling of skin.

Plasma Lifting is a non-surgical treatment that addresses skin conditions including: loss of elasticity, sagging and wrinkles. The Plasma Pen used in the procedure is an FDA-approved device used to perform “fibroblast therapy”, a technique used to stimulate the production of rejuvenating collagen.

It does this by converting electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen and transmitting that energized gas to the skin’s surface from above without making physical contact, like a tiny lightning strike. When the plasma hits the skin it vaporizes any liquid in the skin at the point of contact, and causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal (top) layer, whilst simultaneously heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction.

Surrounding skin tightens around it, giving a shrinking and lifting effect as skin layers get vaporised by the plasma (via heating, fragmentation and vaporization).

Tiny brown marks called “carbon crusts” visible after treatment flake away in 5-7 days, revealing new skin underneath. Skin fibroblasts get busy producing collagen and elastin, which gives a further tightening. Effects are visible right away, with full results after two weeks to a month.

Numbing cream can be used to minimize discomfort. Side effects are minimal and complications are rare.
There may be swelling for a few days after treatment around the eyes.
An additional procedure may be performed 6-8 weeks after the first one if required.
