Cosmetic Treatments

Profhilo®

Profhilo® is an innovative appearance treatment to address skin laxity on the face and neck, effectively rejuvenating wrinkled and sagging skin. By deeply hydrating the skin and stimulating collagen and elastin production, Profhilo® helps tighten and lift skin, enhancing skin texture and resulting in a more youthful appearance.

How Does Profhilo® Work?

Profhilo® is administered just beneath the skin’s surface to activate skin cells that produce collagen, and elastin. This enhances skin hydration, reduces lines and wrinkles, and improves skin tone and firmness, resulting in a tightening and lifting effect.

Hyaluronic Acid is a hydrating substance that retains water. Although naturally present in the skin, production decreases as we grow older. Widely utilised in skincare products, Hyaluronic Acid can also be injected through Profhilo® treatment to activate skin cell receptors, thereby enhancing and rejuvenating the skin’s firmness.

At Cosmetic & Veins Clinic, we recommend at least two treatments completed 4-6 weeks apart to achieve the best results. Results can be maintained with 6-12 monthly top-up treatments.

What are the Benefits of Profhilo®?

Profhilo® reduces skin laxity by rejuvenating and firming up ageing skin, which reduces sagging. The treatment provides intense hydration and stimulates collagen and elastin production, which enhances skin tightness and lift. This treatment improves overall skin quality, and results in a more youthful appearance.

What Areas Are Commonly Treated?

At Cosmetic & Veins Clinic, we commonly use Profhilo® to treat the face, neck, hands, and décolletage.

Before Your Treatment

  • On the day of your treatment, ensure your face is clean and free from any makeup or products.
  • For four weeks before your treatment, we advise that you refrain from waxing, bleaching, using depilatory creams, or undergoing electrolysis on the areas to be treated.
  • We also advise that you avoid chemical peels, active facials, laser treatments, and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks before the procedure.

After Your Treatment

Directly after your treatment, it is common to experience small, red raised bumps on the area of the skin that was treated. This is normal and will typically subside within 12 – 24 hours.

Following your treatment, we advise you to avoid the following:

  • Refrain from touching or applying make-up to the treated areas for a few hours after your procedure.
  • Avoid physical exercise on the day of and the day following your treatment.
  • Steer clear of saunas, steam rooms, or UV exposure for two weeks post-treatment.
  • Postpone any cosmetic treatments on the treated area for two weeks after your procedure.
  • Avoid fractional resurfacing treatments for a minimum of four weeks.
