Vascular Laser

Treatment

Vascular laser therapy involves directing a specific wavelength of light onto spider veins in the skin. This light heats the blood within these veins, causing the vessels to coagulate and seal off. Over the following weeks, the body naturally absorbs the closed vein.

What are the Benefits of Vascular Laser Treatment

Although spider veins typically don’t cause physical discomfort, they often present a cosmetic issue for many individuals. A lot of our clients aim to diminish these veins’ visibility so they can confidently show their legs, particularly in the warmer seasons.

For those who prefer to avoid needles, the Vascular laser offers a pain-free alternative without the need for injections. Additionally, there’s no necessity to wear compression stockings, and it poses no threat of developing deep vein thrombosis.

Day of The Treatment

Upon your arrival at Cosmetic & Veins Clinic for your appointment, your doctor will walk you through the procedure and set expectations.

You’ll be given safety glasses to shield your eyes from the laser. Cool ultrasound gel will be applied to the area being treated. The Vascular laser head will then be placed on the targeted spider veins and activated. The discomfort is minimal.

Each treatment session lasts about 45 minutes.

What Happens After the Treatment

Unlike sclerotherapy, which involves spider vein injections and necessitates wearing compression stockings and walking post-treatment, Vascular laser therapy has no such requirements.

Post-treatment, the treated vein may appear slightly inflamed and could take on a ‘cat scratch’ look. Over the following weeks, this appearance will gradually diminish.

Typically, a minimum of three sessions is needed to achieve the desired results.
